IN Groupe: a positioning policy focusing on a central role in the economy and on trusted digital services

Didier Trutt : We had an excellent year in 2017, spurred on by the excellent performance achieved in all of our activities. We confirmed our leadership in the secure identity sector and had a record year in terms of production with more than 6 million passports produced. The successful integration of the identity activity of Thales has enabled us to win two major contracts: for the introduction of e-gates at Lyon airport and for the renewed management of the system for the biometric acquisition of secure electronic credentials in France. We have also achieved numerous operational and commercial successes, including for exports, and to take just a few examples I should mention setting up the platform for ePassports, residence permits, visas and diplomatic passports in the Republic of Djibouti and the signature of the amendment for the CNIE (electronic national identity card) for Morocco.
It was also a good year for our banking activity, spearheaded by the SPS-IN Groupe brand, which has become a world leader for dual contact/contactless solutions in the bank card market and which is today recognised by stakeholders in the sector as a reference when it comes to durability, reliability and cost control.
And finally, the different departments are continuing their exponential growth, resulting in an excellent year with the successful deployment of several e-administration platforms in the private sector and for the French authorities: the Crit’Air platform, the platform for the ‘passenger vehicle with driver’ sticker and the professional card for passenger vehicles with driver, plus the platform for issuing the new Mobility Inclusion Card.

Didier Trutt : In this buoyant context, our Group has launched an initiative to capitalise on its history, know-how and capacity for innovation. With this in mind we have adopted a new brand: IN Groupe. This new brand will ensure that we are more visible in the international market and more appealing when it comes to attracting new talent. This change of brand is a further step in the huge transformation process undertaken by our group.
We have also introduced a new signature: “The right to be yourself”. The right to assert your rights, do your job, travel freely and move around in a secure world - quite simply, the right to live your day-to-day with confidence. This new signature reaffirms the Group’s commitment to States and their citizens: identity is an inalienable right, to be protected against any monetisation, marketing or restriction on access. Everyone should be able to identify themselves and have the means to be able to prove this identity at any time.
